According to Ayurveda, the ailment of Fibromyalgia may be classified as Mamsavrut Vata – diseases of excess Vata dosha in muscles and tendons which is believed to be a sub-type of group of diseases known in Ayurveda as Vata Vyadhi – diseases caused primarily by aggravated and imbalanced Vata doshas or the air body humor. Vatavyadhi is the condition which mainly results from Vata dosha imbalance and is generally chronic and unpredictable in nature which makes it difficult to cure. It involves musculo-skeletal and nervous system but after a time the ailment begins to affect additional tissues also. As per the description in our ancient texts it has various and frequently changing signs and symptoms like stiffness, fatigue, pain, heaviness of the body, nausea, gradual loss of movement and increased stress.Watch Video:
