Takradhara:
In this particular Ayurveda spa procedure, buttermilk is poured on the forehead in a particular manner. This spa procedure starts with an oil application on the head and body.
Shirodhara:
This procedure utilizes medicated fluids or oils and milk or buttermilk are poured on the forehead. The procedure of Shirodhara commences with an oil application on head, neck and body.
Sirovasti:
This is one of the most intensive and potent external oil applications. This procedure of Sirovasti is a special technique used to administer medicated oil on the head. The patient is made to sit upright on a wooden stool, and medicated oil is applied on the body and head. In the Shirovasti, a cap made of flexible leather open on both sides is fitted on the head, and the prescribed medicated oil, slightly warm, is poured onto the cap.
