As these doshas lose their balance, there is relative accumulation of ama or toxic matter, and these further result into producing negative emotional mechanisms. When the Vata dosha is aggravated or vitiated for some reason, this could present as mental states of fear, anxiety and experiencing negative emotions. Likewise, vitiated state of Pitta dosha may cause augmented states of irritation, fear and disharmony.
