Modern medicine is regarded as a conventional system of medicine, and we consider it as the most effective way of treating infections and diseases. This in most cases is true and has been much sought out form of medicine till recent times. However, now it is being believed by the proponents of other medicine systems that Allopathy can manage the disease and provide symptomatic relief, yet it cannot really find the root cause of the disease. Whereas in reality, for most chronic diseases, symptoms are just the tip of the iceberg, and what exactly is happening is way deeper which cannot be treated by external medicines. Every science and scientific system has its plus and minus, and generally we are unaware of the minute details of the highly accepted systems. Before we can comprehend the basics of Ayurveda, the ancient science of healing, we need to understand that Allopathy is the ultimate option when in emergency and it is rather difficult to rely on Ayurveda in the time of emergency as Ayurveda takes time to heal. On the other hand Ayurveda works on root cause of the disease rather than on the symptoms. It takes time and needs patience in comparison to the modern medicine but it extradites disease from its roots out of the body. Ayurveda healing also helps most efficiently in prevention of diseases.
