Time Is Up!
‘Your time’s up!’ How many times have you heard this phrase in your lifetime? Now picture this. Generally after an ordeal, be it sport’s activity, or a competition or even while taking exams in a class, at the end there is always an indication from the examiner that the time is up.
The Time Will End
This means whatever time that you were rewarded with for your eminent performance has come to an end. It is the same for each one of us. We are in the race which is particularly designed for our life on planet Earth. Yet, the stop watch is in the hands of God.
Our Golden Chance
This is our golden chance to make the best out of the sole purpose of human birth. As the players in the tracks, we are also in the race. Yet our pathways vary. Some of us could be in the track of 800 meters, yet there could be others pacing only the 80 meters track. We are all treading our own path, unaware of the distance from the ultimate. Even though indulging in the materialism and pleasures of the world, we must not forget that our track is designed by the Creator and also the distance in the path is destined. Sooner or later the time would be up.
Daughter’s Question
Recently when my daughter sat beside me at the lake and we watching and enjoying the playful feat of lovely fishes jumping out of the water and back after a little interval of time. Suddenly my little girl called out to me – ‘Mom, why can’t the fish stay back for a while. How I wish I had a long thread tied to one of the fishes so that I could pull her back as and when I wanted to meet her’.
I Was Surprized
I was momentarily taken aback on hearing this. Although, I knew it very well that she was ardent animal lover, and yet could not recognize that how could she think of tying a fish with a strand of thread, even though she could well comprehend that the fish cannot survive without water. My daughter could immediately read my query and told me that she was imagining to fasten such a lengthy thread to the fish, that the fish would be absolutely free to move around in the vast lake.
At that time I smiled at her opinion, but later it reflected on my mind that isn’t it the same with all of us. We are all tied by invisible strands and the end is in Almighty’s hands. Anytime as per His discretion, he would pull us back to Himself. Only that in our case, we have no choice to jump back like the fish could in the lake.
